Introduction, greetings and farewells
|
|
1:31:11
|
The observations that I can make from this lesson are the following:
In this group there are some students with a high level of English
especially because they have worked previously as teachers or because they
have studied English before in other institutions. On the other hand, there
are some students whose English level is so basic that they can barely
express their ideas in a fluent way.
I feel that this may be a problem for the future because I don’t know
how to deal with this situation.
If I make activities for the student with level the others could get
lost. If I make activities for the students with low level the others could
get bored. I will try to look for a balance for the next class.
Another observation that I can see is that three of the students
didn’t attend the lesson.

The observations that I can make from this lesson are the following:
The positive thing about this group is that they all have relatively
the same level.
The negative thing is that because of its basic level I will probably
need to modify some of the activities to develop with group B in the lesson
plans that I have for group A. the number of students was few. It was maybe
because it was the first class. I hope to see more students the next time.
In those first two lessons I felt really nice although I know I have
to improve in many things.

The students show commitment but the level of some of them is still
low. I had to adapt the topics of the lesson to their capacity. My objective
is that they understand even though I have to make the lesson in a slow rhythm.
One of the students presented problems with her microphone but in
order to continue with the lesson I decided to call her to her phone.

One of the biggest problems that I have always seen in some of the
students from und is the bad pronunciation of some words. That is why I tried
to focus on the correct pronunciation of some regular verbs. I’m glad because
the majority demonstrated o good progress.
There were two student that didn’t attend the lesson.

One of the students kept having difficulties on her microphone that’s
why I decided to call her and make the speaking activities through the cell

There was only one student in this lesson. This situation was a little
bit surprising because I expected more students for this lesson. Because of
the student’s English level I had to modify the development of the lesson and
I decided to make a more fluent and natural conversation.

I have seen that some of the microphones that were used by the
students seemed to have some problems but anyway I didn’t let that to be an
obstacle and I decided to call my students.
I understand that some of the students don’t have the best level but
any way I try to be patient with them.

general daily routines using adverb of frequency. in the second part of the

The students with advanced

internet connection but everything else was fine.
c. How successful were activities and materials?

d. What departures did you make from the original lesson plan?
In some situations we started to talk about different
topics that weren’t a hundred percent related to the proposed topic but anyway
it didn’t affect the development of the activity.

f. What aspects of the lesson did you feel were particularly successful?
The students always showed an interest to participate
in this lesson. The topics that I had planned to explain were done.
g. What aspects of the lesson did not work
particularly well? Why?
The aspects that weren’t
particularly well were some related to the internet connection because it was
difficult to understand some of the things they were trying to say.
Additionally I felt that one student could feel lost during the lesson because
of their classmates’ level. Although I like my students to talk as much as they
can, there were some situations where I felt that some students consume more
time in comparison to their classmates.
h. What aspects of the lesson should be done differently next time?
I will try to focus more on those students who seldom
participate. I will also try to develop a game in order to make something
different. I will try to make clearer some topics.

b. Brief narrative or description of the speaking
lesson
I started this lesson by

c. How successful were activities and materials?
Some of the topics were
successfully done but I couldn’t explain the connectors “because and because

d. What departures did you make from the original lesson plan?
Because of time, I didn’t do the last part of the
lesson.
e. What difficulties did learners experience in different stages of the
lesson?
Some students couldn’t participate actively because their
microphones weren’t working. What I did in those situations was to call them by
phone but unfortunately one of them didn’t have phone so I had to pay attention
more carefully to what she was saying.
f. What aspects of the lesson did you feel were particularly successful?
Except by one student, everybody showed interest at
the moment of participating. The topic was successfully understood.
g. What aspects of the lesson did not work
particularly well? Why?
One student started
attending the lesson but due to internet problems, he couldn’t participate
during the rest of the class. I couldn’t explain the uses of the connectors
because and because of.
One student barely created
her examples but instead she just used a translator.
h. What aspects of the lesson should be done differently next time?
I will try to motivate those students who seldom
participate in the activities. I will try to speak to them more in English.
