Portfolio: An evidence of my teaching development

Being a teacher is one of the most challenging and exciting things to do. We are in constant chance and development looking for new methods and approaches that better satisfy the needs of our students. There have been many ways in which those methods have been performed but in this work I will analyze the lessons given through a virtual environment using the help of the tool Google hang outs and you tube. The social networks have changed the way we perceived education. The way the lesson that are going to be described in this portfolio are an example of how technology and social media helped create an amazing way to teach helping both teacher and students. Thanks to those elements, people who could barely take part in speaking lessons were able to practice and improve in different areas.  a) My teaching philosophy When you understand how your student learns, you will understand how to teach him or her. I am the kind of teacher who is always aware of the way my students understand the topic. It is important for me to create a comfortable environment where the student doesn’t feel ashamed or embarrassed of speaking. So for me, I prefer to listen to someone who tries to participate as much as possible even if he or she makes too many mistakes. The key point of the development of the speaking skill is to get fluency. I perceive fluency as the way a person is able to make his ideas clear even if he or she shows problems in grammar structure in some parts or even if there are some problems in pronunciation.
